ADVICE TO ALL — VISIT THIS LOVELY SPOT.

Camping out on “Woody Island”

Visitors will be met on arrival and taken to their tents, which they will find already pitched. Bedding and food should be taken, but if required, stretcher beds, cooking utensils, and all necessaries will be provided at very reasonable rates…

Tents will be pitched near the river banks so that water, boating, and fishing are all of easy access, the most shady spots being chosen either on the mainland or on one of the islands…

Cottages

Some visitors, especially those with families, may wish to stay in cottages, in preference to hotels, thus saving the expense. The head of the family can leave his wife and children at Parys, and by taking advance of the cheap excursions from Johannesburg can spend the week-ends with them without interfering with his business…

Others may prefer to purchase an irrigated plot of land and build their own cottage…

Fishing

Under the shelter of a shady tree the angler may spend a pleasantly hour… Yellow fish scaling up to 20 lb. and silver fish up to 15 lb. are abundant

Bathing

Bathing costumes and towels may be used.

Local Excursions and Drives

… either by cape cart, motor, or on horseback…

No visit to Parys would be complete without seeing “Venterskroon”,….

ADVICE TO ALL–

VISIT THIS LOVELY SPOT.
