The event supports the EMS Community Car initiative, a volunteer Emergency Medical Service operated by Rotary Parys. This initiative ensures that medical assistance is readily available to anyone in need, stabilising patients until professional help arrives.   • 07h15: 1 Mile – Businesses FUN RUN / WALK
  • 07h30: Half Mile (800m) – Rising Stars (7-9 years)
  • 07h45: 1 Mile – Boys & Girls (10-13 years)
  • 08h00: 1 Mile – Boys & Girls (14-17 years)
  • 08h15: 1 Mile – Boys & Girls (18-19 years)
  • 08h30: 1 Mile – Masters Men and Women (35+ – 60+)
  • 09h00: 1 Mile – Open FUN Mile (All Ages)
  • 09h30: 1 Mile – Elite Ladies (Invitation only)
  • 09h45: 1 Mile – Elite Men (Invitation only)

One of the standout features of the Crater Mile is the Elite Men’s and Ladies’ races, where the best athletes compete for top honours. These races are ASA-sanctioned and adhere to World Athletics standards, setting a benchmark for excellence and providing a platform for greatness.

Registration and Participation

To ensure a smooth experience for participants, race number collection will take place at the Parys Info and Tourism Centre on the following dates:

  • Friday, October 11: 10:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday, October 12: From 05:00

Entrants will need to bring a copy of their race number confirmation email to collect their race number, and they can collect for fellow runners if they have the necessary documentation. Importantly, no temporary licenses will be sold on race day, allowing all participants without ASA licenses to enjoy the event as fun runners in their respective categories.
