Parys WADER

Parys Wetland Avian Development and Emergency Rescue NPC (Parys WADER) is a permitted wild bird rehabilitation facility based in Parys. Our work focuses on helping indigenous wetland-associated birds while also teaching people how they can make a difference.

Visitors can learn more about wild birds, rehabilitation and responsible interaction with wildlife through educational and volunteering experiences at our facility. These opportunities are available to tourist groups and high school groups, and bookings are essential.

We also take our education programme into the community. Schools, social clubs and other groups within the Fezile Dabi District can book an on-site educational talk covering birds, conservation, wildlife rehabilitation and what to do when you find a wild bird in need of help.

At Parys WADER, rehabilitation helps one bird at a time. Education helps protect the next one.
